The Podiatry Team Cathy Davies Cathy qualified at the London Foot Hospital in 1988 and started working in a private practice. She then studied further for her degree in health management and gained her award in 1993. After a spell in NHS management, Cathy trained using radiosurgery and local anaesthesia, going on to teach fellow podiatrists in both these fields before taking over the Kennington Chiropody Surgery when the previous owner retired. Cathy then worked one day a week running the radiosurgery service at Merton and Sutton Primary Care Trust (PCT) before moving over to Kennington full time as the business expanded. Cathy has a wealth of experience in hospitals, care homes, community and education. In line with her interest in long term health intererventions she is currently studying for an MSc in Population Health at University College london (UCL)
Natalie Champion With first Class Honours and Highest Acheiving Podiatrist prize from the University of East London, Natalie is a great all-rounder. She had 15 years experience working for the NHS as a podiatry assistant before taking the plunge to qualify as a podiatrist. Outside of work Natalies main interest is keeping up with her two sporty teenagers.
Hollis Lalsie Hollis is an extremely highly qualified practitioner, he qualified firstly as a Registered nurse in 1999, going on to specialise in paediatric intensive care. He rose to become Charge Nurse in the Special Care Baby Unit / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Whittington Hospital. Along the way he also achieved a Batchelor of Science, followed by Master of Science degrees in Physiology before studying Podiatry. Hollis is our biomechanics specialist, offering full biomechanical assessments and prescriptions. He has also achieved qualifications in music production to support his hobby of music mixing.
Bethany Clarke
Bethany graduated in 2018 from the University of Southampton and began working as a specialist podiatrist at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust for almost 3 years where she developed her Musculoskeletal, nail surgery and wound care skills. Most notably she set up an ulcer prevention clinic using gait analysis software to help prevent diabetic foot wounds. She now works privately and enjoys keeping her patients comfortable with routine podiatry appointments and has a holistic outlook towards her patient’s care. She likes going on family walks with her puppy, Nelson, and enjoys regular strength training at her local gym.
Ann Cummins (practice management)
Ann attained a HNC in Information & Communication Technology from Greenwich University and is also fully qualified in Customer Services. She previously managed a Registrars team responsible for registering Births, Deaths, Marriages, Civil Partnerships and organising Citizenship Ceremonies. Enjoys holidays, eating out, books and walking her recently adopted Greyhound.
Our Other Practitioners Mariana Dodig, Therapeutic Massage Mariana is a highly qualified massage therapist using aromatherapist experience and her ITEC diplomas. As a member of the IFPA (International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists) she is an avid subscriber to their codes of practice. Using massage to reduce stresses and tensions, she is able to help with chronic pain, improve muscle tone, boost the immune system and increase joint flexibility.
